Then on to Camden Pale Ale (extra cost) to accompany their Steak and Ale pie, with accompanying Health Warning: May contain traces of alcohol! 🤣(the pie that is ).

Peroni at Premier Inn Heathrow T5. Well it's the best option in the meal deal. SWMBOd's Jam Shed Chardonnay was a little later in arrival.......

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Tonight's preprandial an overful pint of Westerham Spirit of Kent. Please ignore any typos. I've had more than my usual quotient to drink trying to empty this minicask as we're going away on Tuesday. Succes, the tail end of it, hurrah - gone! Every drop gorgeous. Now on to the 12 y/o...

Best winter weather warning I've heard - Don't eat (or drink) yellow snow. 🤮

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Preprandial of the nearly empty Westerham Spirit of Kent, SWMBO'd didn't let me anywhere near her GnT with squeeze of lime. Can't think why. Then on to Hardy's Pinot Grigio to accompany smoked haddock potato pie. (that's tomorrow night's Claret settling behind the glasses, well it is a...

Is that for a dram, or the whole bottle price?, that would be a bargain! 😂

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

'evening all, rapid overview of tonight's tipple. 1st up QC of still clearing new brew of Kent Gold. So malty rich. Golden rich in fact. Confession: I mashed the grain in too hot, so I might have altered the brew character, at FG 1011 was unintentionally high. Oh well, still learning. But...

Sneaky Westerham Spirit of Kent b4 SWMBO'D gets back from zumba. I'm on dinner duty, so being male think it's deserved. 🍻

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

An accidental starter of my CADB blend. Rather chilly, so condensed up immediately I walked into the kitchen from the garage. Still rich and tasty though. The bargain-priced Madiran for SWMBO'Ds tipple b4 dinner of pot-roast beef. This was what I had intended as my preprandial, the...

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Errr, a little late in the proceedings. A very tasty Pilpelchuma spiced chicken thigh with this Portuguese Cerceal white wine from Waitrose. Stood up to it, fruity but full enough to go with Paella too.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Starter of the Westerham Spirit of Kent. A lovely palate cleaner. Said to have 9 different hops in the making. Sounds like a user-upper that became a recipe. Good all the same. I also have a measuring cylinder QC of my recent Kent Golden ale. Last night's sample was a little cold for the...

Next up my CADB blended ale. Dropped clear at last, after blending. Yeup, a remarkably decent beer - luckily. The bitter definitely brings out the hops in the Camden.

Westerham Spirit of Kent from a minikeg. Lovely clean and lightly bitter. So easy to like. And I do. 🍻

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

A QC of my newest brew. East Kent Golden ale, named as the basic recipe is the Exmoor one, but the hops are my own grown '24 First Gold. It's only 14 days old, so obviously not cleared yet. But the flavour! Fresh and rich, then golden and rich and long follow on flavour. Only thing missing...

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Aroma being down and the bittering up can go hand in hand. It can be either a longer boil than intended, or if using a post boil/whirlpool type hop addition for aroma and the temperature was hovering too high at around 80°C. Extra bitterness will result from both. Sounds like it's still beer...

Are you prepared to say how much they cost? 😁 By report, Icelandic beer is even more expensive than the expensive nature of the rest of Scandinavia!

My bro's glass is monogrammed G for Gryffindor, as it happens to be his initial too. Particularly appropriate as it is being used for a Guinness!
