    do you think it would be best for a brewing belt for the fermenting bin? fermenting seemed to get stuck so some suggested stiring it to get it activated again maybe this might have caused it to go funny

    are lagers more difficult to master? my house is pretty cold even in the summer although I did wrap it in a old duvet, would I be best of getting a brewing belt to ensure its warm enough?

    Hi I am planning on starting a new brew soon, however my last lot and first time brewing didn't turn out to well, the lager tasted very watery, was bland and very gassy and wouldn't form much of a head, any ideas what could have caused this? Thanks very much

    thats great thanks was a bit worried about the temperature its a little cool in here on a night so been leaving heating on, think i may need a heat belt perhaps for future brews?

    just taken first reading after about 9 days and it is at 1020 but looks slightly cloudy is that normal??

    thats great, whats the best way to tell that fermenting has completed okay? ten days will be tommorow, should i use the hydrometer from then and if its the same on two consecutive days bottle it? thanks

    i took of the collar thing like it said when foam died down, should start taking the readings still or just wait till around day 10?

    according to the coopers instructions i should start taken hyrometer readings from tommorow so fingers crossed foams died down now so hopefully all is well!
