    Hand Pumps

With the pressure, I use the 16gram cartridge with the top up tap attached to the cap and pressurised when heeded, the top up tap can stay on all the time, so what is the max pressure I will need to fit these pumps, at the moment my kegs are at 5/6 psi and fitting a demand valve between the keg...

    Hand Pumps

Thanks for those comments lads, I’m new to doing this, not new to brewing but fitting these pumps, it was an idea of mine to do it, but I am wondering now, should I bother, I was thinking of hiding my kegs inside a cupboard then fixing the pumps above, the corny kegs seem to be the common kegs...

    Hand Pumps

I have 4 king kegs, I want to attach hand pumps to them, as I am building a bar, if I attach pipe to the tap on the keg and fit a jubilee clip, to tighten and fit a check valve for the pressure and connect to the hand pump and then open the tap, is that being correct or have I got it all wrong...

    To much Froth

Ok will try that on my next brew, I will only put about 55-60 grams in and see what it does then, cheers

    To much Froth

It is a king keg with a top tap so I will check the tube and float and make sure they are sealed correctly Cheers Tom

    To much Froth

I have 3 king kegs and recently when I pour my beer I get one third pint and two thirds froth, now I have changed to the ballihoo caps for the king kegs with the square seal, which I find is better than the round one, now am I doing something wrong?, I put in the barrel 85 grms of brewing sugar...

    Warm Beer

Think I might try this option with the towel, it will cost me nowt, hopefully it will work, I have 4 barrels 2 filled with beer, 1 lager, 1 mixed berry at the min they are back of the garage, at 20 degs, so I might just throw a towel over them and see

    Warm Beer

I was moaning this morning about this whilst in the garage, the wife used a flippant comment, get an old American fridge, she may now have a point

    Warm Beer

Hi Guys, now that the weather is getting hotter, so is my beer, what is the easiest way to keep your king keg cool, I’ve been thinking of buying some of the ice blocks that you can put in your fridge freezer and strapping them to the barrel, but I don’t think they would last long, any ideas...

    High pressure

Hi guys Been brewing with KK and not had to much bother now I have the hangs of things a bit more, in my garage I had a youngs barrel with bottom tap, cleaned it out and put a brew in, on 2nd fermentation it went up to 14.7psi, when I pulled a few pints off it was 70% froth, got it down to 5psi...

    Sediment

I will try that, you never know thanks for the advice, they are high pressured when I open them and I only used 1 carbonation drop

    Sediment

Thanks David It’s the first time this has happened, it never happens in the barrel and even on some bottles that when you remove the cap you can feel the pressure release, the sediment still stays at the bottom until you get to nearly the end of the pint and you can see it slowly moving, has...

    Sediment

Hi An Ankou No I never use finings, as you say I let the beer clear by itself, the beer is clear in the bottle before I open it, well it’s clear, but it’s not as clear as my other beers that’s why I am thinking of leaving it longer.

    Sediment

Thanks for that guys, I think I will leave it longer , I must admit it’s not as you say like a fountain, but I can see the sediment travelling down the glass when I first pour it, as for being cold, it’s been down in my cellar for about 2 weeks

    Sediment

Hi guys Hope everyone is ok, just a quickie, just brewed some Muntons flagship pale ale, i bottled it, it’s been down for 6 weeks, I have opened 4 bottles now and everyone, when I open it, the sediment leaks into the pint glass, even from when I first pour it, we’re normally that only will...
