Ace-8 Elderflower wine. was meant to be elderflower champagne. Fermentation got stuck, or more likely completely messed up recipe and resulted in a 11% syrup. Therefore, Re-fermented with high % tolerance yeast. left it too late in the demijohn to have a (tertiary?) fermentation in bottle. So...

    Beer kit recommendations

I love the Youngs New England saison. First batch fermented around 26-28C using heating belt during warmer months. 2nd batch brewed in winter couldn’t get above 22C. Both lovely. Closest beer you can buy I can think in terms of taste would probably be Hoegaarden. Sort of clove flavour.

Have got a smaller 1 gal batch on the go at the moment from a November picking using the Brewbitz recipe...

What kit beer are you drinking tonight?

Youngs New World Saison. Beautiful subtle spicy clove flavours, nice hops. Perfect for Xmas. Used a brew belt first time, fermented at around 24-26c. Conditioned in bottle 4 weeks. Very happy.
