    I just put the same kit on Saturday brewed short to 20l With 1.5 LME also added 500g light malt Extract came out at 1060.. went off like a rocket I do like the idea of the fruit tho! But not the idea of raspberries in the bottle, I wonder could a flavour Baking extract be Used?

    Thanks, it’s the classic Australian Mj bitter I used 500 light spray, 500 dark spray and 100g sugar The kit was 1.7kg I’ll take the advice :) an try that patience thing...

    Thanks again, The kit was 1.7kg, I used 500g light 500g dark 100g Demerara sugar, My last kit was a Mj juicy and was very quick start to finish it’s only been in the bottle 2/3 weeks and I’ve drank half of it!! ‘‘Tis bloody lovely tho :)

    Ahh, same boat by the sounds... I had one from wilko for two weeks to start there was no 4” seal on the cap!     Sorry it’s a 25ltr fermenter with a 1” hole at the bottom, if I used for the bottling would I still have to put the sugar in the bottles or just add to the bucket with the wort? Cheers

    Ahh I see, hence the scum at the bottom? So giving clearer beer? One more thing.. if I prime with sugar this will produce the co2 I shouldn’t need to gas until I start to pour from the barrel? Provided to barrel seals as it should.. cheers
