Got my hydrometer's today along with the brewmaker heat tray, took another reading earlier today( havent broken it yet) and its reading roughly around 1023,1021, its now been 6 days in the FV, should I bottle it or wait a wee bit longer. Cheers Daz

LOL....Got two ordered from the local home brew shop picking them up tommoroz, :party: along with a brew maker heat tray......its bloody freezing here.

And can't wait till ma first pint :drink: , got some more kits to get my teeth into, Brew Buddy cider, Coopers european lager and Coopers cervesa.......alot to keep me occupied. Cheers Lads.....who's round is it anyway!!!! :drunk:

Thanks for the welcome lads, Posted a wee problem i had with my hydrometer readings and go it sorted really quickly with some of the replies, waited ages on another forum with no avail, thanks a lot.

Hi, thanks for all the comments, and your bang on, just put the hydrometer in water at roughly 20c and it sank straight to the bottom, when I was making the wort up I used 4 litres of boiling water to dissolve the brew enhancer and brew kit cleaned the can out with a wee bit more then topped up...

Hi, Just got an early xmas present of a coopers starter kit and coopers lager, started it 5 days ago and had an og of 1021 and the foam on the krausen ring has subsided but when I take a hydrometer reading there is quite a bit of gass in it and the hydrometer sinks until no reading is showing...
