    Youngs Lager Kit Brew

Hey, The first batch pretty much all went, there were a couple of bottles left 1/4 full etc and I didn't fancy the milky contents after the sediment at the bottom was disturbed so moved onto the next bottle (and repeat). It was ok but not good enough to stop my buying beer.... I made another...

    Youngs Lager Kit Brew

Ok so, its been bottled for almost 2 weeks (I couldn't hold out any longer) so I poured a quick bit of the beer for a taste test. Now, this is 2 weeks bottled at 18 - 21 degrees and is going to go in my car hole which is now at a balmy 6 degrees... I think it fluctuates between that and about...

    Youngs Lager Kit Brew

cheers Mr.Beerbelly, the price was, as they say, correct...right! The kit has been great so far but the proof will be in the pudding :) Ok so, empty fermenting bucket = bottled!! It was rather scummy at the bottom so I left a fair amount in, that and I ran out of bottles, I am sure I had 10...

    Youngs Lager Kit Brew

This started when I bumped into this pile at Tesco Home. The price and the fact that it has an additional ingredient pack providing 80 pints drew me in. 24 hours later and it looked like this This was a straight kit brew with 1kg granulated Tate & Lyle. The only "tweak" is that I only...

    Hi

You're probably best asking the staff. When I got my first one they were out on the main floor but today there tucked at the back of the lift. I thought they would all be gone but they had a decent pile, I was only allowed to buy one today :( er indoors made that clear and no mistake :)

    Hi

Did you look at the back near the lift? I went this morning and couldn't find them, was about to leave when I saw them out the corner of my eye, they had about 20 left

    Hi

ah I didn't factor in the cost of sugar as I raided the cupboard ... Still, its still not worth arguing over who's round it is :) Yeah DME and is it Beer Kit Enhancer? To use instead of cane sugar. Looks like a tap will be needed as that wont reach the bottom, cheers for the measurement. I...

    Hi

They sure are, I guess the real test is what it produces. I am hoping for something at least tastier than say Fosters/Carling, my normal tipple is Stella.... I think I will be using sugar for the bottling. I might try and find a local HB store and look at the equipment they have, I am not...

    Hi

Another Lancashire lad joining :) I bought a kit at the weekend after bumping into (literally) a stack of Youngs BeerBuddy Lager kits in my Tesco Home. Not sure if they are dumping stock but they are selling them for £6.50 with a free extra refill kit. 80 pints for pocket change! I started...
