    Waterstones has a good range of brew books, have a look in there. They also sell the oxford companion to brewing which looks very informative. Buying online is cheaper.

    Useful little bucket?

    That's not a bad buy at all. Would be a good little fermenter for a medium sized batch of TC. Might get me one of these in the new year. And it donates to charity as well. I reckon if I order this in Jan, ill have myself a mice little 14l fermenter and I will have done my good deed for the year :D

    if i remember correctly it had an o.g of 1.045 so if fermented down to 1.000 it should be about 6%. i could do with a better hydrometer though. ive got a youngs jobbie and its quite hard to read.

    I've just racked my first turbo cider and leaving it to clear. I used exactly same ingredients except I didnt use any tea. It started off realy slow (i thought the yeast was a dud) and then it went mental after a day or two. Took 6 days to ferment down to an f.g of 1.000. I'm clearing it now but...

    The Start of a New brew shed !!

    Looking realy good. This reminds me that I need to get my back side into gear and sort my shed out and turn it into a brew shed. I was thinking of a small ammount of insulation onto the walls and roof and maybe ply lining it, but this might just be overkill for a shed. Wish I could have my shed...
