    Love this site to bits as it has saved me YEARS of making mistakes and experimenting, But i was suprised to read about making the most of your'e kits by adding half a crushed campden tablet, Would'nt this depend on the original water quality of your'e area. I'm fortunate to live in Yorkshire...

    Totally agree with you, Going to use the S-04 (Rambo yeast) all the time from now on, its not worth waisting all that time and effort for the sake of a £1.90 sachet....

    Two can kits, secondary fermentation sugars.

    Still quite new to this lark but already getting the urge to experiment. If brewing a two can kit, can you use spray malt or beer enhancer For secondary fermentation, and how would they differ in taste, Or would it taste too malty???

    Virgin brewer, help!

    Thanks for the reply! It has definatley stopped fermenting and has been at 1.020 for 4/5 days now even with a gentle stir in-between, so i will get some more yeast and try what you recomended. will make up a starter with a bit of sugar and add it in and see how we go.........
