    WOW Question

I have been making various WOW's and variations for a while now following Moley's excellant guide but was wondering if anybody has tried with double quantities?? i.e 2 litres WGJ & 2 litres orange per gallon. Would this increase the body of the wine or would it just be overpowering??

    wine kit advice please

I agree that you get what you pay for. Before finding WOW I used to make 30 bottle kits from California Connoisseur (mainly the Pinot Noir). I used to add a bit of sugar to bring them up to the 14% mark (as standard I think tehy work out at around 11%). They were very good and if you can manage...

    Plum wine

I picked these today: From a tree like this: I assume these are also cherry plums (they definately taste a cross between damsons and cherries) I would guess at 3 lbs fruit plus sugar for a gallon of wine :?: There are also a few trees with the yellow fruits on like the ones in Davids...

    Turbo Cider Trial

I made my first TC (using ASDA value apple juice) a couple of months ago and must admit it was good after a month in the bottle. As I have 5 dj's empty at the moment I have decided to run a trial with the view of picking the best for a 23litre batch. So far I have got: 4.5 litres Pressed apple...

    sloe gin

I read somewhere that sloe whiskey is good (they did say better than sloe gin). As I have a few bottles of cheap blended, I'll give it a go this year (as well as some sloe gin). Probably follow the same recipe as for sloe gin and then spend a night comparing the two

    Good shiraz kit.........

I used to make a alifornia connoisseur Pinot Noir and that was good after a month and very good after 6. Never tried a Shiraz but would assume the quality would be the same

    Variations of WOW!

I'm glad you mentioned not to do prune juice Moley. I usually browse the juice section when shopping with an eye on future WOW's and had considered getting a prune juice . All the juices I use are either the 1 litre long life juice cartons or the fresh juices, either from concentrate or not...
