    someone is telling porkies... when carbonating .. the 2 kits I have used it would seem have underestimated the amount of sugar needed to carbonate the bottles. they both said use '1/2 level teaspoon of sugar per pint' but when using the brewers friend saying I should I use 2, 4g sugar lumps...

    ahhh took a hydrometer reading and it came in at 1012 which backs up the refractometer adjustment you mentioned i got on brewers friend perfectly... going to just use a hydrometer from now on.. so 1012 is where it should be i assume after 4 days :) sorry for the confusion terrym., still...

    hi terrym, the kit i have says i quote ' put half a level teaspoon of sugar per pint into each bottle' is this the wrong information? since i plan to 1 tea spoon in each litre bottle is this too much?

    hi bob, yes I was shocked at the Geordie kit tbh.. my first kit but the instructions are shockingly bad.. and you are right how much effort to add another 100-200 words to make the instructions decipherable at the very least.. :)

    ok thanks ghostship, davvy... its a cheap geordie scottish export kit, i didnt want to spend to much on something i hadnt done before so its a tester...hence why the instructions are so vague i guess in the kit...i have read online very good things about the geordie kits to be honest so i hope...
