    Fruit Tea Bag wine

Lately we have tried camomile tea wine, we thought that was excellent. Also quite cheap for a box of 20.

    Kit recommendations please!

Being the complete opposite of a beer kit connosswer, I have tried a limited range of what I consider good tasting kits. Woodfordes Wherry was awesome, made it a couple times never disappointed. Same with Tom Caxtons Real Ale Kit. Anything made by Simply is worth trying, they make great kits...

What kit beer are you drinking tonight?

Bought this on a whim a few months ago after seeing someone with a pint of stout on tv. It's just finishing in bottles now. On account of some spare ingredients I attempted to make it with a tin of golden syrup and half a bag of demerara sugar. I tried it last night, and frankly with my poor...

Rumour? is Wilko's going into administration?

Went in there (Wilko) today and got an IPA kit for £7.50. Dated 2025. Should’ve bought 2. Bloody hindsight. And there was a sign outside the front saying they were going into administration and it was an administration sale. It’s sad, but hey, cheap booze lol

    Blackberry/Blackcurrant wine

I have made Blackberry, Elderberry (kind of, I won’t lie that one was a disaster lol) and tinned blackcurrant. But never mixed any of them together. If it were me I’d just do 50/50 of each fruit first with 1 gallon and see what happened. I mean they’re both great flavours so it’s not like the...

    Youngs American Oaked Rum Ale

Nice one. Love that it has the sugar and everything as well. Even separate priming sugar lol Normally I get a can and a yeast sachet one, so this is something of a novelty.

Picture or Video of the day.

That reminds me of that Solero advert: https://c8.alamy.com/zooms/9/cecc2c0db6ce4a14816dec368ff0c486/ext6xg.jpg Used to find that hilarious for some reason

I made something rather menacing, Blue raspberry slushy wine

    Back sweetening wines

Ah I can't stand sweet wine. If my wine tastes anything other than bone dry I assume I've made a mistake.

I made something rather menacing, Blue raspberry slushy wine

I can't work out if this pure genius or pure madness. We must have an update once this is completed.

    Misophonia

Well most of the things I have an issue with are noise related, so temporarily blocking some sound occasionally can apparently help. EDIT: Oh I missed your other post hahaha

    Misophonia

No Loop is the brand name of the earplugs, they’re made for noise sensitivity and other associated things. I Googled SNR and I wasn’t sure what it meant but they allegedly block 24db. I got the Loop Quiet to try out but they do another one that blocks 18db that I may try at some point as well.

    Misophonia

Lol you’re probably right. I’ve invested in some loop earplugs to see if they help. My girlfriend suggested them a while ago but I was optimistically hoping it would get better. It actually got worse.

Ah but if you’re the one who invited the person round your house and it’s your clock, then you’re responsible for making that person comfortable being there. So you’re the one who’s going to be removing the batteries from said clock. Or I’m the one that’ll be leaving said house that I was...
