That sounds like a plan! I'm not going to take the readings as 100% but it's more to see when the readings level out. :-)

New battery arrived today - now the ispindel floats at 23.2 degrees in plain water with no extra weights - happy days! Next step more detailed calibration - or do I take my chances and use as is ?!

I had the same problem. First battery was a copy and only weighed 29g was a nightmare to get the angle lower than 70 degrees. Replacement ordered and quoted at 47g, just waiting for it to arrive.

Just ordered a replacement battery listed as 47g so that should help. I'll report back when installed and tested. Thanks Alastair

Photos as requested - I have also had the battery on the scales, only 29g - please don't be too harsh with comments on my soldering skills ! ;-) I'm sure it's something blatantly obvious but I just can't work it out Screenshot while flat on table after calibration plus screenshot as per floating...

Hi, The board is really snug in the tube, reads 89.9 on a flat table, is floating almost horizontal... I'll get a couple of pics when in the shed later on. Something isn't right somewhere, I'm thinking battery weight may not be helping so will check that too

Ballast help needed Just finished building using a 4.0 pcb. All working ok but I can't get anywhere near 25 degrees in plain water, not much spare space for weights in the current tube, shouldn't go for more weight in the larger tube? Any tips gratefully received, thanks

Has anyone got a spare PET container they'd be happy to send me for a £ or 2? I started building a kit from ebay using a generic circuitboard with no silk screen on (never again!) three burnt fingers later I've now sourced a v4.0 pcb but the PET container is too large for the smaller pcb. Also...
