    It seems to be doing ok my fella had a couple of glasses the other day but i think it has a couple of more weeks in barrell before it is ready to bottle

    well my fella does security on building sites and got me about 5 they only throw them away so i begged them. They have them in offices too. Just have to be cheeky and ask for them :) they hold 19ltrs and are a god send when doing larger batches. :)

    yes looks like the one on right is drinkable...lol or at least to me i keep trying to keep some back but my fella promises people it before it is even ready. trouble is they don't return my bottles :)

    for this one i used 2ltr supermarket prune juice 1ltr supermarket blueberry juice 3ltr supermarket red grape 4 ltr welshes purple grape juice (on special at tesco's ) and a ltr of high juice blackcurrent. then just X 5 wurzuls recipe. Initial Sg was 1.070 so adjusted till i got 1090 it is now...

    well i have one fermenting away just at 1.000 at moment i will let you know i decided to try and get a nice red as most of mine turn out rose or white but im happy with them it's just my fella likes red i have one i made that is red but not as deep as i would like it and another like i said...

    lol im planning my next batch of WOW as i type :) thinking of going for the apple and elderflower juice that they do in tesco next think it would make a nice flavour :)

    you are right mine are 19 ltrs :) the only drawback is the ledge when clearing wine the sediment tends to settle on it so i have to be carefull with it

    just an update.I have ended up with 15 gallons yes 15 lol. I decided to experiment i had made a ribena 5 gallons and it was rubbish i didn't boil ribena and made loads of mistakes. ended the fermentaion of it too early. anyway i decided to split my dried fruit mix into two containers i seived...

    i always syphon off into a clean demi and repeat about 4 weeks after.

    i thought that too but im not sure. I mean perry and cider are clear ...i haven't been winemaking long enough to say.

    i think you can use pulp in a cider or perry there is a recipe in CJJ Berrys book. but the one for pear wine says to boil fruit. not sure why :)

    hi i had some ready to eat de stoned prunes 500g and added 1kg of greek currents and another pk of dry mixed fruit 375g also 2ltrs of black grape juice (welshes) i also added 7llbs sugar I added boiling water onto the dried fruit soaked it then strained and chopped added sugar and more boiling...

    thanks for the nice welcome i only use the 19ltr water butts because they were free lol the two big ones i bought and the bucket also paid for lol. But I like to keep them full :)

    hi im from barnsley South yorkshire (lol someone has to live here)..im fairly new to wine making made a red kit wine first of all haven't bothered buying demi johns as couldn't afford £6 a time i went for the big fermenting barrels get more per batch also been playing with the supermarket juice...
