Dry yeast recommendations for two brews

Re your comments on the price of the Wyeast. I would use one Wyeast for all 5 of your brews. There are a few easy ways of reusing these yeasts and you can get at least 5-6 brews from each pack which makes it cheaper than most dried yeast.

Liquor/Water Analysis - Murphy & Son, anyone used their service?

Phoenix is the dog's dangles. Had a problem with Murphy's several years ago, in those days they were still allowed to sell us sulphuric acid. I started to brew with the acid working on the strength printed on the bottle but soon realized something wasn't right. After a bit of research, and the...

    2 Roller Malt Mill

Another thing to consider is how long your supplier has had it in stock crushed. I know the Malt Miller crushes on the day it is dispatched but there are suppliers out there who only sell crushed grain so you will never know how long it has been crushed. Last brew I needed a small amount of...

    2 Roller Malt Mill

Vastly increased shelf life of your malts especially specialty malts that you may want to store for a lot longer periods. I have found a slight increase in efficiency since crushing my own.

    Malt Miller now using DHL?

Looking to buy a sack of malt and some other bits at the moment. I notice TMM has 1/2 price delivery with DHL if you spend over £65. A sack of Simpsons golden promise is £41 which is comparable with other suppliers and as they now sell Brewlabs yeast it's a win for me.

    Grain prices creeping up.

You might find the shops still selling cheaper malt are probably selling old stock and once new stock comes in the price will go up the same as others. If any old stock is already crushed be carefull

    White Labs dry yeast

The maltmiller sells 200+ liquid yeast compared to around 30 dried yeasts. Don't think it is going anywhere soon.

    White Labs dry yeast

The Maltmiller has a best before date on his liquid yeast, which is 6 months after the production date, so you know exactly what you are buying. If it means you have a bit more preparation then so be it one of the joys of brewing is to experiment.

    White Labs dry yeast

Interesting comparison table of liquid and dried yeast' Liquid certainly seems to come out on top for quality.

    Brewlabs

I see the Maltmiller is now selling Brewlabs yeast slants. https://www.themaltmiller.co.uk/product-category/ingredients/yeast/ Unless you can get live yeast direct from an established brewery this is the best source of yeast you will get.
