    Save or use "smacked" pack?

So the pack burst in the fridge today, so I may as well have used it. Just an FYI for anyone else who finds themselves in a similar situation. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Save or use "smacked" pack?

I'm aiming for 8.5 ish. Thanks for your advice. I think I'd rather repitch than lose a batch but more opinions are welcome. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Save or use "smacked" pack?

Hi all, so I brewed a Belgian Tripel on Sunday with some ingredients which have been hanging around a little while. This includes a smack pack of Wyeast 3522, with a bit of a story. I bought this a few months ago and kept it in the fridge, but over the summer my fridge stopped working so it was...

    Fixing a non carbonated beer

After reading that page I ended up opening each bottle and adding a few ml of liquid yeast to each, which appears to have fixed it. It's tasty too! I reckon I originally left it too long in secondary to clear, and too much yeast dropped out. Thanks again.

    Fixing a non carbonated beer

Brewing sugar from Wilkinson's. About 180 grams for 20 litres or so.

    Fixing a non carbonated beer

Hi all, I recently brewed a Czech pilsner which just hasn't carbonated at all, even after two weeks in the warm. Is there any way I can fix it? I saved the yeast so I'm thinking of emptying the bottles into an fv, adding some yeast and bottling and leaving to carbonate again. Does this sound...

BIAB Lager recipe needed (Czech style)

Not sure if this is OK, but I actually posted a picture of a recipe from the Greg hughes book in another thread: http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/showthread.php?p=526267 I brewed it this past weekend. The ABV is listed as 4.4 though.

    Czech pilsner water

Sorry just saw your correction. I can confirm page 94 suggests this method.

    Czech pilsner water

    It doesn't in mine?!

    Czech pilsner water

Thanks. That's crazy cheap. Already bought the asda stuff though.

    Czech pilsner water

Thanks clibit, unless I've misunderstood the Eden falls I've got is even softer, so I'll get some more of that I think. Thanks everyone.

    Czech pilsner water

Yes, I've got a pack of wyeast 2001.

    Czech pilsner water

Thanks. Highland spring is a bit expensive. I got a bottle of asda Eden falls today, 1.10 for 5 litres so doable as I need 25 litres. Here's a pic of the info:

    Czech pilsner water

Hi all, I'm planning my next brew to be a Czech pilsner (the recipe from Greg Hughes book, page 90) and I think since I live in a hard water area it's important I get the water right for this brew. I'm planning to use all bottled water, but I've realised I'm out of my depth when it comes to...

Have a go at simple AG

First post on this forum, but just wanted to register my thanks. Between this guide and a mate at work I've already brewed three different recipes. I've gone way off the beaten path with all of them, except for the last, but that's part of the fun, isn't it? I'm already prepping the recipe for...
