    Dinner or Tea? [poll]

Dinner at dinner time, tea in the afternoon or early evening- sometimes the evening meal is supper or just out for food! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Bottling after lagering

Hi All, I've got a batch of lager that has been lagering nicely in the fridge at 3 degrees for the past month and want to bottle it now. I think that the yeast will have all dropped out and probably be dormant, how do I ensure that the bottled beer is lively? Do I need to introduce fresh yeast...

    Lagering Czeck style beer

Do you think that I should rack it off the yeast before lagering if I do it in bulk, and will the yeast still be viable after a month or so at low temps? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Lagering Czeck style beer

Hi All, I've just made a batch of Czech style lager based on Greg Hughes recipe, and it's ready to lager. My question is - do I transfer the beer to bottles and prime before lagering, or do I lager first then bottle. I'll be putting it in the fridge, probably taking the temperature down a few...

    Summer ale

I used Greg Hughes Summer Ale recipe, but adjusted the hops using the brewers friend calculator to have the same IBU value. I've been a little Impatient with the conditioning, haven't been able to wait three weeks, first sample after 7 days was a little cloudy, tried again after 10, better, and...

    New Brew - Irish Stout

I'm tending towards barrelling, but not sure how the head retention will be once the natural carbonation runs out, and I have to inject CO2 into the barrel. I haven't gone down the corny keg route or have any idea about using nitrogen.

    Summer ale

Hi All, At last I'm enjoying my first brew in over twenty years! It's nicer than I remember, and well worth the effort of All Grain. Cheers!

    New Brew - Irish Stout

Here's my newest brew fermenting nicely. Loosely based on Greg Hughes dry stout recipe, but I didn't have enough EKG's, so made up using 40g EKG's, 20g Progress for the full 70 minute boil, and added 10g Challenger for the last 20 minutes. Used Brewer's Friend to work out quantities to give an...

    Help with my barrel float

I used to have one of these in a Rotokeg years ago. The flat float should lie on top of the beer with about 1/2" of tubing going into the beer. The tap on the Rotokeg was very high up in the barrel, not sure if it would work in a king keg.

Hi, what power boiler do I need?

Hi All, I have just joined having not brewed for a while. Made a Sumer brew a couple of weeks ago and struggled to boil in my old 5gallon Bruheat boiler. Is a 1500W 35l boiler likely to be suitable?
