    Batch prime into your barrel and then into bottles from your barrel at the same time. There will probably be a little sediment in the bottles but if you pour them carefully it should stay where it is. I'd give it a couple of weeks in the FV before priming even if the fermentation has stopped...

    Barrell and bottle on same day?

    I'd go for the same day personally, it makes for a lot less messing about and you're only sterilising once. Also you would probably lose any carbonation you have built up by transferring the beer to bottles.

    Well, I bottled mine last weekend after 13 days in the FV, it was very very dry. Primed with a bottle of lowicz which sweetened it up nicely, still little concerned that I may have made 40 bottle bombs with the amount of sugar in the lowicz. After a week in the beer shed nothing had exploded so...

    That sound like the sort of thing I'm thinking of doing, I've done beer from kits but never tried a cider before. How long do you leave in th FV? How long do you condition for after priming? I'm assuming 2 weeks FV and 2 - 4 weeks conditioning.
