    It has calmed down after being cooler overnight. it is still fermenting but airlock has clear water now. Lost about 100ml only so I guess it could have been worse. You certainly live and learn with this hobby.

    Hello Chippy Tea, Yes, it is one of those. I was warned about adding the water very gently otherwise I would create a gushing monster! So I added gently and it seemed to be ok. Then started to bubble away. Anyway, it has calmed down a bit as its in a cooler position. Thanks for the advice. i...

    Hi all, I have a wilko wine kit, topped up with cooled boiled water today for secondary fermentation and now the bubbler is full of wine and froth and leaking out of the top of the bubbler. Is this just a case of very active fermentation? I have put it in a cooler place to try to calm it down...

    Hello, Well its been about 4 weeks since I started my second kit and I bottled up my Merlot today. Just had to have a taste tonight. It's drinkable which is a massive improvement on the Winebuddy kit. I will let it mature now though as its not got a lot of taste. So hopefully after 3 or 4...

    Went to local home-brew shop and bought California connoisseur merlot kit. I am immediately impressed as there is about 10 times the amount of juice as wine buddy kit. so here's hoping..........

    Hi As above, I tried the 6 bottle Winebuddy Cab Sauv kit, it was undrinkable due to the awful chemically cherryish smell. Does anyone have a better, maybe more expensive 6 bottle red wine kit to recommend. I would really like to try again. Cant waste the equipment I have bought. Thanks
