HAHA the maths has slightly baffled me, but from what you've said, if I add 500grams of light DME then I need to add 675grams of sugar. I'll take your word for that as I have no idea :hat:

do you always add brewing sugar or normal sugar?

Hi guys, looking to start my coopers English bitter at the weekend but looking for some advice on whether to use 500g of sugar and 500g of medium spray malt or just 1kg of sugar? anyone brewed this with either of them before?

I'm looking to start the coopers English bitter at the weekend, but I've read lots of mixed reviews on whether to use a kilo of normal sugar, brew enhancer or spray malt. can anyone recommend what is best to use so I could pick up the spray malt or enhancer before the weekend if needed :-D

I could also do with beer crates if anyone knows where to possibly get them on the cheap ;)

just got 50 from the Bristol bottle co on ebay, not too badly priced and at least it gets me started whilst I get more from family/friends! :drunk:

haha it's ok, may aswell throw it out there, I'm a blue myself and a season ticket holder. Not that there's been too many great performances at home this season!

Haha I've told a few people, my dad is an avid bitter drinker so he is quite eager to sample that :drink:
