I don't know what it's worth to be honest. Might as well let the market decide.

    Brew Fridge/Thermostat/Heater Thingy

Am selling up :( ....pics and details below. I'm working 2 weeks away at a time and don't have chance to brew anymore so I'm going to sell all of my gear. I made a brew fridge with heat/cool thermostat on double plugs for heater/fridge. It works great and holds whatever temperature you set...

    How To Make Coconut Stout

It was actually very good indeed :) The flavours blended into a much smoother, more rounded end product. Will be making again but will use 500g coconut and might try the coopers stout instead. The Muntons has more of an imperial taste without the strength so something more session drinkable...

    Festival landlords best bitter

Ha...... no chance of holding off that long..... I'm actually wanting to save time..... Instructions ask for 2 weeks warmth after bottling and mine have been warm for a week..... Is this going to be enough? Truth is, I wanted to get these in the shed cooling ASAP with a mind to cracking a few...

Coconut Stout - 1st Ever Brew

Yeah I did contemplate chucking in a couple of sliced vanilla pods in with the coconut. I couldn't help imaginary tasting a sweet sickly beer that tasted more and more like a dessert :) Only a week or so before I can have a proper taste of this stuff but if it works, I'm sure that the coconut...

    Barrel Not Full

I've bottled about 4 litres worth of my brew and barrelled the rest. This leaves a bigger than normal amount of air in the barrel. Is this going to be a problem? Should I think about splashing in some CO2? It's been in the barrel about 4 days up to now. It's stout btw so don't want it over...

    Sediment After Bottling

Thanks Honey, The instructions stated 2 days at fermenting temp which I thought was a little short. Really need to get next brew on so think I'll bring them inside for another week to 10 days before cooling. Thanks for the advice :)

    Sediment After Bottling

Yesterday I bottled my first brew. A stout with a touch of coconut. All seemed fine. 7 bottles and the rest into a barrel. I primed with light spraymalt. Today I had a quick peak as on is in a clear bottle. There's a very noticeable layer of sediment at the bottom. They're on the 2nd day...

    Conditioning Stout Temps

Just finished a Muntons kit. It calls for 2 days at fermenting temp once bottled, then conditioned for 2-3 weeks at a cooler temp. 2 quick Q's.. 1. Is 2 days at fermenting temp enough once bottled? 2. Will my man-shed be too cold for conditioning? Guessing 6-10'C average Cheers

    Spraymalt Clumping In Bottle

Just finished my first brew. Instructions called for priming with light spraymalt so that's what I used. I now see sugar is just as good. :/ I put 1/2 teaspoon in each bottle then filled with fermented stout. Gave it a shake but each bottle had still had a clump of spraymalt at the bottle...
