    Well the starter has been ditched as I was unsure how long the fly was in there for and not risking it. I will wash the yeast from my CV and do a new starter. Just means a few days of work again. Yay.

    Slight setback with the yeast starter. A blasted fly got into it. Even though the lid was ajar and a mass amount of foil over it. Next time I'm going to use a hop sock and foil! So I'm going to have to wash my yeast from the FV.

    Yup I had planned on drying this out. Just need to build up a massive sample base to test with. Then confirm its viable after rehydration. As the type of yeast I have can be dried. I'm also planning on freezing some for long term storage.

    that sounds like a plan to me. Once I have this yeast starter going at full volume, I will happily send some vials out to those in the UK. So far it's very fast, i have a good deposit of yeast at the bottom!
