    Texas shooting 19 dead.

The UK is a parliamentary democracy. We are subjects in title only because the monarchy have zero power. As for Johnson, he has shown contempt for rules and the truth all his working life so we shouldn’t be surprised that he does so now. So we do of course have the option to vote against his...

Interesting that here in the UK, when accidents and deaths on the road due to phone use increased laws were introduced to counter it and police began increased surveillance. It’s almost as if legislation works without having to ban things.

Blatant hysteria. Regulating gun ownership and carrying out basic background checks to make it harder to buy high-powered weapons is not a ban. You are right about the power though, because the NRA & Republicans holds an awful lot of it.

    Texas shooting 19 dead.

Absolutely. As someone who has had the pleasure to serve in the UK army and I can tell you that there is nothing scarier than an active shooter drill, especially when you don’t know who has a gun and who is a hostage - even when there is a group of you going in. It’s hard enough when your enemy...

    Texas shooting 19 dead.

Maybe, but it’s much harder to kill 19 children in one specific place with a car.

That is completely irrelevant. Laws are made for all, usually because a minority need controlling. So you have driving tests and laws limiting speed and require a license etc because some people need to be prevented from driving or doing stupid things with vehicles.

    Calibrate iSpindel

Silly question - when calibrating why are we starting with the highest sugar concentration and then diluting (so having to pour away). Isn’t it much easier to start with water and add sugar until you hit the required conc?

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Last night I cracked open a bottle of Kona Big Wave hoppy golden ale clone which has now been conditioning for nearly two months. First one was slightly cloudy but the rest were crystal clear. Nice and fresh, will be doing another in the new year.
