    Slow tap

I upped the pressure to 20psi and it did pour better, not forceful by any means but it filled the nozzle if that makes sense.

Thats it kegged! It wasn't a very smooth process as the floating dip tube stopped working halfway through which meant I had to open the tub and remove it to allow flow to resume. I'm quite happy with the taste and colour. Just need to wait on it carbonating now. OG 1064 FG 1010 Abv 7.09%

    Slow tap

Beer lines are 1.5m ball locks appear to be connected properly. There are no leaks and I can't hear any sucking or hissing. Beer lines are the thin versions.

    Slow tap

I've kegged my first brew! I flushed the sanitiser from one keg into another and then used the sanitiser in the second keg to flush beerlines. I noticed that the flow is really slow at 12psi. I mean it's dribbling out. I've adjusted the flow controls but both taps are the same. Am I missing...

Homebuild chamber for Fermenter King Gen3

Finished off the fermentation chamber. I had a spare bit of veneered mdf which I lined with the same insulation material I used on the interior, plus a door handle from the "don't chuck it out" pile.

Took a final reading of the AIPA this evening. It's sat at 1010. I'm quite happy with that, it seems stable. I'm dropping the temp in the keezer to 2.5°c (+/- .5°c) and have pumped in a little CO2 through the FV lid. I'm hoping a bulging FV lid on with 4-6 inches of headspace + 1.5 metres of gas...

Free snubnose 10&15 PSI PRV set.

I wasn't sure where to put this so admins, please feel free to move to a more suitable location. Over at Newbie Help with my Snub Nose we've been discussing snubnose spunding valve/gauge set ups. @foxy explained that he uses either 10 or 15 PSI PR valves as pictured below. These valves negate...

Thanks for sorting this @foxy. Very much appreciated and thanks to Will at King Keg also 👍 Thats really decent of you both 👏 I'll send a pair off to @buddsy once they arrive (can you PM an address buddy please). As agreed, the other set will be sent to any interested snubnose owner who doesn't...

Remove burr from inside copper pipe

Round Bastard Files are good for removing burrs from inside pipes. They come in a range of thicknesses and lengths and usually cost around £5/£6.

I've found these brass pressure release valves but I'm not sure if the threads would be the same as my king keg gen 3? https://www.contextpneumatics-catalogue.co.uk/browse_product.aspx?mode=level4&level5=42498&level4=42496&level3=42495&level2=42494&level1=40451&stockistown=False

    Pressure barrel noob.

Apologies, I can't answer your question but, I wouldn't mind a read of @Hazelwood Brewery 's post. Do you have the link at all?

Homebuild chamber for Fermenter King Gen3

Thank you! I'm always reluctant to chuck DIY stuff so it's always nice to make something out of the "keep that" pile! It makes me happy 😊 I think the thermawrap was £12 for 7.5 metres and I still have a fair bit left.

Homebuild chamber for Fermenter King Gen3

The leaky fermentation bucket has been annoying me a fair bit so I've purchased a Fermenter King Gen 3 Starter Kit. It's a fair height! I really didn't want it in the house so today I built a chamber out of some old loft boards, OSB and foil liner. (I've still to add a door). The unit sits...

Day 6. Hydrometer reading now down to 1011 ish from 1064. I've decided to dry hop now and leave for another few days in the hope that some extra CO2 will be created within the bucket before transfer. Hops used are the pellets that came with the kit +25g of Falconer's Flight as I read on here...

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Had this lurking for a while and discovered that I have two so cracked one open tonight to celebrate humpday. Not a lot of head retention, is that normal for Saison? Anyway. Still a nice tipple. A decent dunt at 10.5% so split with my Mrs as it's still early 😏 Defenite fruit aftertaste...
