    Large PET bottle source?

Will have a look next time I head past. Will just man I need to drink it all in one sitting :)

    Large PET bottle source?

Beer won't generally be stored long term. With young kids around plastic make more sense from a safety point of view than loads of glass bottles knocking around everywhere. Might have to search out a 3l coke bottle. Do you think the beer would go flat if it was all drunk in a night once opened?

    Large PET bottle source?

I've already got 500ml brown bottles. Am trying to reduce bottling day by using less larger capacity bottles

    Large PET bottle source?

Will give them a go. As you say, cheap and we generally have 1 or 2 knocking about by the weekend.

    Large PET bottle source?

Will take a look as I hadn't really considered pop bottles.

    Skinners

We had Lushingtons at our wedding (originally from Cornwall). Special place in my heart for the drink I had at the best party i've ever been to :)

    Large PET bottle source?

Will have a search for cider bottles. Been a long time since I rode that headache wagon so wasn't aware they come in brown bottles

    Large PET bottle source?

The 2ltr pop or fizzy water bottles tend to be very thin so don't seem great for re-use. Is it only light strike that I need to worry about with clear bottles?

    Large PET bottle source?

I'm looking to increase my AG BIAB batch size from circa 10ltrs in a stove top pot to around 20ltrs as i've realised that the effort to brew is identical :) I don't like bottling, particularly cleaning so am looking to reduce how many bottles I need to store everything. I currently use PET...

Corny keg - carbing with sugar basic setup

Just to continue on a bit from the above, I think the main issue i'm going to have will be keeping a keg cool. I don't have a second fridge or enough room in our main fridge, so the keg would be 'room temperature conditioned'. Would I then be able to rack off some beer into something small and...

Corny keg - carbing with sugar basic setup

Ah ok, so is that similar to 'pressure fermenting'? I think i understand, but wouldn't that leave a lot of the trub in the FV?

Ok, so off to look up what a spunding valve is :)

Corny keg - carbing with sugar basic setup

Ok, appreciate the replies. I kind of thought that it might not be the best solution. A a halfway house night a soda stream cylinder be an option as I'll only be brewing 5 or 6 times a year. Drunkula, not quite sure what you mean, but are you saying that having it carbed in the corny and then...

Corny keg - carbing with sugar basic setup

Hi all! Bare with me as I'm new to all this with only a couple of kits under my belt so far! I have been bottling my brews to date and letting the beer carb in the bottle with priming sugar. Cleaning and sterilising enough bottles for the brew is time consuming and not always easy with 2...
