    Anyone used Wai-ti hops?

Not that it helps at the moment but they are planned for my next brew. Single hop but not single malt. Low AA so I’m using 200 gram in a 11L batch.

    Learning the chemistry

Very interested to hear that you have completed this course as it’s something that I have looked into but hadn’t asked anyone on here if they had knowledge or experience of the IBD qualifications. Sounds like I need to do a bit more reading to get the science knowledge behind me especially as I...

    Hoddy vs. dan125 brewday

I like this idea although when I first saw the post I thought it was going to be a collaboration. That is going to be some dry hop flavour and aroma!!! What’s the difference with adding Calcium Chloride to the boil rather than the mash? Is just about the mouthfeel?

    Cold crash & sanitiser issue

Here is my new SS setup which I started a brew in before Christmas. I started the cold crash yesterday and when I checked on it today I remembered I had read on here about sanitiser being sucked up the blow off tube. I removed the tube from the sanitiser and liquid glugged out. I also released...

    Anyone else having Beer52 issues?

My dad has a monthly subscription with them and regularly has problems with them. I don’t know if it’s Beer52 or Yodel delivery company.

SS brewbucket owners question : Tubing

Another option I have heard of is putting a 3/8 to 3/8 John guest connector on the tap. Then you can use 3/8 liquid/gas tube which is rigid.

Beginners Guide to Water Treatment (plus links to more advanced water treatment in post #1)

I have a question regarding timing of water treatment. So far I have treated all of my water together with CRS, campden and calcium chloride the night before brewing. Im sure I have read that the reason for this is so that the chemicals can get to work and that CO2 is released. Is this...

Beginners Guide to Water Treatment (plus links to more advanced water treatment in post #1)

Thanks! Brewing has been taken over by spending a fortune on research! Websites the likes of Honest Brew and especially Verdant have been the main culprits. I’m getting back on the brewing wagon starting with water treatment, oh and I’ve brought myself a SS Brewmaster bucket and extras for...

Thanks for the advice on this. Do you just use Beersmith to work out the additions? What percentage are you using? I’ve seen it range from 25-81%. And where do you get it from?
