After reading the tiny text on the vial i can see you are quite right! Im not sure what to do with it now. Should i use it or not? I do have another vial in the fridge but that too is past the best before date. Here is the recipe I'm following with regards to the 2 week fermentation time...

How to make a yeast starter.

Im newer to Brett beers than yourself as I read about your beer swap earlier and this is my first. I ended up going ahead with a Brett beer after getting the yeast in a lucky dip selection from BrewUK. I then asked Greg for a recipe as I didn't have the foggiest what to do with it! Im hoping for...

    New Years Brewolutions

Im echoing quite a bit of your list: 1) - I know what you mean but there are still loads of recipes I want to try in the book 2) - I'd like to nail wheat beers. Who knows something about Brett beers?

I know nothing about Brett beers, but since I got 2 Brett yeasts in the brewuk lucky dip a while back I have done a very small amount of research just to get 2 recipes. One has been provided by Greg after I asked him for a recipe: https://recipes.brewuk.co.uk/view-recipe/400 The other I got...

    Beer / milk crates

I have purchased these a couple of times and they are the perfect size for the large majority of the bottles that I have which I purchased. They measure 21 1/2 cm (8 1/2) when capped. They don't stack with a bottle much taller than that...

To rouse or not to rouse...

Tricky to say what the temp garage was, but at a guess around the 10-12C mark?? I have just checked my records and a rye beer that I bottled the same day I have tried and IS carbonated. Good point about the posted bottles as I have even swapped one with you!

To rouse or not to rouse...

I bottled my Patersbier (100% pilsner) 4 weeks ago and when I opened a couple at the weekend they were flat. I primed each bottle with 1/2 teaspoon of brewing sugar as I generally do. The FG was 1.008 I put the bottles in the garage to carb and condition as I have done recently, but maybe it...
