    Postal Bottle Swap 2

So tried mine at the weekend and it was very good. As mentioned bottle looks shop bought (how do you print and apply your labels?) and the beer pours with a good head. I got a nice roastie grain taste - is that he midnight wheat or rye that is coming through? Glad mine got to you OK what...

    Postal Bottle Swap 2

Got mine in the post today and have pinged my brew back. Those packages look really good and liked the quality of your label on the bottle (I felt I had to put a label on mine but no way as professional!). Plan to let it sit in the fridge a couple of days before I try it so as to give it a...

    How often do you brew?

I tend to do one every 2 weeks as I do like the process. But as others say - built up a stockpile so missed a few weeks over the last few months. Then again the missus had to tell everyone (even if they didn't care!) that I did 4 brews when we were off for a week over easter.

    Honey Ale

Hi all, just a daft question but if you freeze honey does this kill bacteria? Does it reduce any of the flavour? So if you froze the honey and then add as you cool the wort would this solve the problem(s)? C

    Campden Tablets

I use the water from my combi boiler (so pre heated to 50-55c) so add just before I start heating it further - 1 crushed tablet to about 30lts. I stir it a few minutes and then put the lid on to help speed up the heating. Think I have always added this way. C

    Wil's Wheaton Hefeweizen

ochiburi can I ask a quick question. My understanding is that much of the taste in this style comes with the yeast in the glass ie you swirl the end of the bottle as you pour to get it cloudy. How does this transfer to a keg dispense? Does the beer go clearer ? I know you can get these on tap...
