I put my hops into tubs this year - do I still need to prune them or just let them establish themselves the first year? Watched a YouTube vid and they mentioned leaving them first year like you would with asparagus.

On my klarstein there is no filter on the pump so the instructions (what there is of them) say not to use after the boil - are the robobrew etc the same ? I think if you use hop spider or hop bags it is ok. Agree the GF counterflow chiller does look the best chiller on the various systems.

I would agree with speed limiters in towns etc (20 to 50 zones) as assume this would be safer. Motorway I can see the need for some speeding ie if overtaking the 68 mph driver, joining to get into the spaces etc. But then I would think an annoyance device to remind to get back to legal limit...

I was looking at the robobrew at £320 (thought you only got the spider,jacket on the 50l one) but didn't really want the chiller (have one already but tend to no chill anyway). So the deal I got was perfect for me. Been dispatched and can't wait for it to arrive.

Oh sorry maybe it was just a special they sent me after I had been looking at the site. Initially it showed at £309 (which was still a good price if like me you wasn't interested in the chiller). Always thought the Amazon trick to get deals wasn't true!
