    What did you brew today?

Nope read an article from byo and they recommended keeping it at 17 degrees to get the best flavour from the yeast and its fermented out beautifully. Bottled it all up today and beautiful banana and clove flavours http://byo.com/body/item/2265-german-hefeweizen-style-profile

    U Fleku beer

Does anyone know if you can even buy any beer in th UK that's similar to compare as all I can find online is dark kozel and budvar?

    U Fleku beer

Out of curiosity what does the stepwise mash and or decoctions add to the beer as most articles I can find on it seem to say it's a redundant technique with modern malts. Although the adding of the speciality malts half way through the mash must change what flavours etc you extract. I still...

    U Fleku beer

I've finally got a proper fermentation chamber which is opening up a huge range of options of brewing! I've just done a Hefeweizen fermented at 17 degrees and is looking really good! I'm planning on doing a citra/elderflower iPa next week then will be trying the u Fleku recipe! Tempted to use...

    U Fleku beer

Also the recipe from mad fermentationist involves using a multi step infusion, would I get away with doing a single infusion mash or lose something of the character if I do this?

    U Fleku beer

Hi everyone I was wondering if I can draw upon your collective wisdom for a recipe for a beer I had in Prague which was by far one of the best beers I have ever tasted! It was a dark Czech beer at the brewery U Fleku, I think called a Tmave Pivo. Has anyone heard of this or had success in...

    secondary fermenter yes or no?

I use coopers carbonation drops, adds a little extra expense but makes things easier! I've done a few secondary's but moved away from it, mainly because I've had issues carbonating the beer afterwards because u have less yeast in suspension. So now I bottle straight from primary or if I am...

    secondary fermenter yes or no?

Honestly I cant be bothered with a 'bottling bucket' or measuring suga, I just use the sugar drops, nice and easy!

Stone imperial Russian Stout clone extract recipe

Tried my first lot of this over the weekend! Its beautiful! rich and full bodied, good bitterness and lovely after flavours, its also not harsh despite the ABV as you get with some imperial stouts, thoroughly recommend. I prefer the original recipe but the variant with the oak chips and whisky...

All-grain number 5: Brew Dog Punk IPA

Been drinking this over the weekend! and its awesome, put most of it into a few mini kegs and used the party deluxe dispenser thing and it came out perfect! Only matured it over about 2-3 weeks as was too desperate to try it, but tastes pretty damn good! Actually prefer it over the new Punk IPA...

    Innis and Gunn Extract Clone

There isn't a huge difference anymore it's quite subtle but saying that I prefer the rum one it's more ... Smoother and richer for want of a better description. You probably could add it in the primary a few Oaked beer kits I've seen do it that way! Saying that though if you put it in a...

    Bread beer

Just been watching the one show on tv and they talking about using bread as a base along with the malt to make beer! Has anyone tried this? Or know what particular flavours or benefits it might add?

    Blue Moon extract clone recipe

Let me know mate! Be keen to find out how you do! The recipe I did still tastes okay but unfortunately nothing like blue moon! Thinking next time I might add orange peel in the secondary and more in the primary!
