Possible fermentation issues / cloudy when bottling

Hi all, I have a quick question that I hope someone may be able to help with. I brewed a kit of Geordie Mild on 27th June. Everything was sterilised etc. It started bubbling but stopped on 2nd July. I left it to see if it would start again and it did for one day on 3rd July. Took a reading...

    Beer Kit - Additional Flavours?

Hi all, Is it possible to add additional flavours to a lager or bitter kit before fermentation? For example, could I add a peach syrup into the fermentation tub when mixing the wort and sugar? Would this work or just spoil my batch? Thanks for any advice.

Phew, I'm pleased that I haven't messed it up :D What does the drop from 1.010 to 1.006 mean exactly? i.e. does this make it stronger / weaker, taste better, make it clearer? As I say I'm new to all this so any advice is very much appreciated. Edited to say that I looked at the calculator...

    Newbie - Advice Needed

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and new to making home brew. I have a question which I'm sure everyone will roll their eyes at. I've searched the forum for an answer but haven't had much luck, although I'm sure the answer will be in a thread somewhere, I started a Geordie lager kit 12 days ago...
