    Favourite Kit

I've done the Mangrove Jack pink grapefruit it was one of the first I tried when I got back in to homebrew and I was surprised how much the extracts had improved from when I last tried, that's what inspired me to have another go and of course the access to online help and advice.

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

This is a new one for me, my neighbours brought it back from there holiday, we looked after their cat. A nice classic English beer taste, love it

    Berer Can Chicken

I think the rub is more important than what’s in the can, that said I would like to try experimenting with different types of beer eg stout, double hopped IPA etc and maybe adding some herbs

Forgive me if this question has been asked before (if so could admin direct me to it please) but what is the most favourite kit to brew overall. It probably requires some kind of a scoring chart maybe.

    Muntons Tap Room Series

I tried the Hazy Days tropical IPA a couple of months ago and it tasted synthetic, that's the only way I can describe it, more than a pint was unpleasant, I ended up ditching half of the brew, not for me but I only fermenter on the kitchen worktop, I've upgraded recently to a fermenting chamber...

    Heat pad fermentation chamber

I was aware but I took the chance and got away with it and it's working fine so far, hopefully will get a brew going today.

    Heat pad fermentation chamber

Thanks for the feedback, this is the setup I have decided on, I have a second hand integrated fridge which has a well at the bottom, this will house the tube heater sat on polypropylene brackets beneath the fermenter. The Inkbird probe will be passed through a small hole drilled through the top...

    Heat pad fermentation chamber

Interesting, what is the reason for not placing it underneath the fermenter?

    Heat pad fermentation chamber

makes sense, I have a tube heater on order but it just occured to me that I may be able to use the heatpad maybe with a small piece of plywood underneath it, I'm just interested to see if anyone else has done the same, thanks anyway.

    Heat pad fermentation chamber

Has anyone successfully used a heatpad for the heat source in a home made fridge fermentation chamber?

    thermowell

It won't leak if it's fitted properly and according to advice will give an accurate reading and because it's my choice.

    thermowell

Can anyone recommend a suitable thermowell to fit to my plastic fermentation bucket?

    Berer Can Chicken

I've been wanting to try this for a while and have to say it's the most succulent chicken I have ever tasted, this is how I will be BBQing chicken from now on. Some youtubers say the beer makes no difference you could actually drink the beer and fill the can with water, I might try that, either...
