    Rhubarb, cooked or raw?

Cheers guys, I wouldn’t dream of chucking it in the keg without a mesh bag to put it in, and I hope that in the bag all mess and clogging will be contained. Blending should just help release all the juice, as long as the motor can handle the stringy rhubarb. Interesting that 2kg didn’t provide...

    Rhubarb, cooked or raw?

Hey guys, Ive got a saison that’s pretty much finished fermenting and I was looking to add some rhubarb to most of it. How would you recommend adding the rhubarb? I’m thinking either blending and cooking it down a bit to reduce risk of infection or just blending raw. I’ll add both to a mesh...

    A question on bottles...

Yeah I think it is, but some plastic bottles are not smooth and I assume they would be subject to greater stresses at the ridges. Has anyone bottled using them before?

    A question on bottles...

I've been using plastic water bottles for turbo ciders and so far they have all been fine albeit not massively carbonated. I've mostly used the Asda 17p chase springs bottles that are ribbed and not marked up as pet or the Asda Eden falls more expensive bottles that are marked as pet but also...

    Elderflower champagne priming sugar

Hey guys, I've started making an elderflower champagne for the first time and now it's bottling time. The gravity has dropped to 990 and it's pretty dry. I was hoping to prime 2l plastic bottles with sugar and possibly back sweeten some bottles to experiment with. First question, is it ok to...
