What are you drinking tonight 2020.

A pineapple & apple wow. Good and clear but a bit heavy on the pineapple for me. Prefer the Apple & elderflower which is the house white.

Aldi Plate warmer / FV warmer

I've got a brew fridge so this is a back up / secondary. I have ordered a cheap thermostat module for it but has not turned up yet. I do have a fan speed controller already which will work to reduce the output but may not need it. My brew fridge works with a 40W bar heater so is quite a gentle...

    Car theft

Interesting that police are now advising the fitting of a steering wheel lock, but most of them can be bypassed and don't count towards your insurance if you say you had one fitted. I made my own anti-theft system for my 1.6S fiesta. 6 people were seen pushing it down the road trying to bump...

Busy times from home brew shops

I had a parcel dropped off yesterday by Hermes. He ran away faster than I could open the door. This is how I found it- Item smashed to bits and missing parts of course. Any idea why it was returned to sender though? I thought their contract was to get it to you, or at least attempt delivery?

As long as she wasn't measuring you up with a tape measure first. :laugh8: Planted out my Red Robin Tomatoes too under fleece. They are dwarf type so I may get some fruit. Beans in paper pots hardening off, and trying to get the irrigation system working again, so things don't die off. Lost all...

Maybe some of the Eastern Europeans the UK has just flown in to pick carrots would be better placed delivering parcels?

Busy times from home brew shops

Do you think any suppliers of grains could supply bread flour? Or just high gluten wheat?....and if we can grind our own ;) It may be that it is still available bulk, but demand for 1kg small bags has exceeded supply.

    ZX Spectrum

This was my first home gaming system - Black and white, a selection of Tennis, tennis single player, tennis against a wall, and some with barriers I think - all variations of black and white bouncing a group of pixels off a moving line. Then the zx81 with a weird membrane keyboard. Bought...

    Spent Grains & Hops

Making good compost is almost an art, or maybe cookery. I have dumped some in there, and now have grass clippings donated from next door so will dig out the old and make a new pile now the weather is warmer. If yours stinks you're doing it wrong. Grass and grain both produce sugars so is grain...

Things to do whilst self - isolating

Maybe we will all be encouraged to loose weight by only eating one meal a day when food shortages start in earnest. Getting a bit irked at neighbours both sides who have taken to sunbathing nearly all day, so If I step outside I'm within 6 feet of both of them. Have changed to gardening when...
