Will you be watching the royal wedding?

Interesting reactions. Not having a TV, I shan't be watching it myself, couldn't care less about either of them and would quite happily see the whole institution of the monarchy consigned to history. I shall probably take myself fishing instead.

Excited? Resigned? Have other plans? Meh?

    Juneberry Melomel 2017

Tried to germinate some from seed this spring. Despite having the seeds in slightly damp compost in the fridge for a couple of moths before planting, I've had a zero percentage germination rate. Looks like I'll be trying to source propagated plants next winter.

The rise of the middle age renter.

    That's the ticket.

Better still, make the "social housing" communal and have the residents work for their board.

What about the predictable flailing around looking to hitch your horse to a waggon that can't be attacked? All of those groups already have income souses other than housing benefit that could be tweaked.

The birth rate among British natives is already below the level needed to sustain the population at current levels.

Wouldn't it be better to simply reduce their income tax? Or do you mean "handouts" rather than "income"? "Abolish housing benefits and you consign those households to homelessness". Yes. What better incentive to get the long term feckless into work?

Stabbing deaths among young people hit eight-year high

After months of silence, failure to meet the families of victims and even denial that he and his office have done anything wrong with regard to knife crime Sadiq Khan has decided to take decisive action. He's decided to ban junk food ads on the underground!

Why expand the number of houses when it makes more sense to contract the number of people?

The rise of the middle age renter.

There are solutions but they're not very palatable for a lot of people. The first is don't go to university to study some silly vanity degree that is not going to be used in a profession. A 40k debt and the loss of three years potential income is not the way to get on the property ladder. NOBODY...

    Vote Labour..

Not really a surprise because the previous leader had made zero preparations and identified no candidates up until the point where Batten came in. There was also a previous UKIP council where every member resigned from the party under Bolton's leadership and identified themselves as independents...

    Vote Labour..

Coaching, mentoring, guaranteed interviews, networking, development opportunities, all made available to black and ethic minority staff by my (large public sector) employer that are not available to staff of European descent. The doctrine is "equality of outcome", not "equality of opportunity".

    Vote Labour..

As white working class male, I've been actively discriminated against at every stage of my career as a result of the idiotic policies of the left. I'm sick to the back teeth of them.

    Vote Labour..

Liberal politics (Not Liberal party politics) need to be robustly defended and the only way to guarantee that is to ensure that property rights are defended and the people have a direct say in making the decisions and laws that affect their lives. Only one of the politician s mentioned above...

    Vote Labour..

At least the debates would be a real clash of world views instead of having the leaders of two parties that are squabbling over the middle ground while trying to out virtue signal one another.

    The Hard Shoulder.

We can all make mistakes (me included) but if you're on a bike you always come off worst in accidents with a car, regardless of who's fault it was. I've been relatively lucky on that score. I went over the bonnet of a taxi in Birmingham that pulled out right in front of me about 10 years ago but...

    The Hard Shoulder.

Impossible to know because most will never be reported but I've hit three so far. Two on phones who just stepped into the road without looking - neither was hurt because I swerved and slammed the brakes on. The other was a drunk who thought it would be funny to hide behind a bridge support on...
