One thing I dont worry about is bottles. I rinse well after drinking and that's it ..... no starsan and never had a bad one!

Yep, I've heard this too. Also the village brewer would seem to be almost magical because others would try similar methods but without the magic stick nothing happened in the way of a 'falling down water'. Also, some say nettles were a common flavouring and that bread was thrown in as a source...

I worked hard to get Fly sparging going and Ive gone back to batch sparge for ease. I dont think there's a great deal of difference.

no harm in leaving it for 10-14 days to make sure. The last few G's don't move the airlock I find.
