What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Back to the Lovebrewing Goose IPA. Isn't as intensly hoppy as previous brews. Took too long from dry hopping to botting, 17 days. Could that account for it? Still a nice brew just lacking that hoppyness

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Blackberry whisky - under rated imo

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Having a Woodfords Tinsel kit, improved a lot since Christmas.

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Muntons Old English Bitter, went pop when the swing top released. Panic. Just well carbed but cannot hold its head. Oh to know why

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Tonight's brew is this Excitra Golden Ale from Pheasantry Brewery. Good bright colour. Pleasantly bitter, but wouldn't know there was citra in there, no aroma or hoppy taste. 😕

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Drunk it slowly, the fruit cake flavour comes through nicely now.

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

On an Abbot Reserve. A bit too cold, definitely malty, but described as bursting with fruitcake and toffee flavours. Not getting that, May be too cold. Hopefully will come through.

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Tonight, Mathew, I am revisiting Woodfords Tinsel, which did absolutely nothing for me pre Christmas, however it has improved for a bit of aging. Would still like it to have something Christmasy about it - spice or citrus, but hasn't left me as underwhelmed as first time around.

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Thought I'd see in the new year with a couple of so of local commercial brews. Disappointed as the main feature is bitterness, no hop flavours. So ened back on domestic production Lovebrewing Redneck. Changed positively in the week, none hoppy.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

I like my Spiegelau glasses but hate washing them, the glass being thin and delicate . Bust the IPA glass washing up in the sink, the stout glass kissed a bottle whilst pouring. I'm definitely safer with standard pint glass glass.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Got a new stout glass so thought I was slacking not christening it with this domestic stout. Might get an afternoon kip in after this.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Imperial stout (well a reinforced St Peters stout kit). August 2020. Carbed, not a gusher.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

@DavidDetroit as @Pavros says, the kit finished at 1.020 but gives 7.5%. In the new Brewferm packaging the Christmas ale is rebranded as Winter Ale. There is no added sugar in ferment and 49g (for 7l) priming sugar at bottling. They have reduced the fg to 1.015 A while back on YouTube...

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Take your points David. This kit is a 1 tin no added sugar or anything, even for priming. As it only makes 7l not many bottles but as the week goes on shall see how it behaves.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Well, having been disappointed with my Sunday glass of Brewferm Christmas Ale owing to its impersonation of a glass of Pepsi, no head. Just opened another bottle and it's like a different bier. This has body, nice level of bitterness combined with a dark brown sugar and raisin / dried vine fruit...
