    Acid attacks.

Reading Dutto’s post above I had access to those items as well. Never did we think of using them to harm others. I often carried a sheath knife and an axe. These were things necessary for a 13 year old to carry in the woods.

I was the only person in the room who hadn't tried it!

    Restaurant/Accommodation Business for sale!!

I hope they gave you plenty of time to get the dairy free ice cream. Good luck with your sale. For a short time I considered it but being 64 with not the best health heart wise my better half persuaded me that now is not really the time. Never been that far from the mainland but remember a great...

    Cider help

Yes it does help. Unfortunately the cider I have is too sweet now so I am trying to reduce the sweetness. Will make a turbo cider which I know ends up dry and try blending. If I do take it too far I will try Candrel as suggested. Thanks

    Cider help

I have done a few turbo ciders in the past and it has always ended very dry. OK for me but the wife finds it too dry. Did a cider kit for Christmas and it turned out too sweet for both of us. 19 lt in keg now. Is it possible to now do a turbo cider and blend with kit to make something more...

    Drilling hole in fridge

If there is a plastic step in the bottom of the fridge like mine. I used an old soldering iron to pierce that from the back. It won't damage any cooling pipework if it hits it. I didn't but the soldering iron is trashed due to the insulation burnt onto it.

    Electrical help needed

I offer my advice coming from a position of no real knowledge. 1 - Are all theswitches the same? Possibly you are using a faulty switch. 2 - Have you tried using the other pair of contacts to see if the power for the illumination comes from that? 3 - You could try linking the ins and the outs so...

    Electric brewing energy costs

My British Gas smart meters allow me to have free electric between 09:00 and 17:00 on a saturday or sunday. Anyone else taking advantage of this for brewing. I now brew only on a Saturday knowing my electric costs for running my 2.4kw HLT or boiler are free.

    Out Of Date Kits

My grandaughter bought me a kit at a car boot. Cant remenber if she paid 5p, 10p or 50p. It was about 3 years out of date. I replaced the yeast and brewed it. I couldn't tell any difference from a kit from the LHBS. I would say go ahead it will only cost a couple of quid. Whats to loose?

    Need an advice!

I also like decanters but as Chippy_Tea says that is a lot of money. The most I have spent is £30 for a perfect condition Dartington Sharon decanter. I always check out the charity and antique shops when I see them. Lots of stuff available but check condition carefully. Plenty of good ones to...
