    wine storage ideas/suggestions,

Ok - I am happy to learn from your experience.. bag in box only £3.. how many times do you get to reuse the bag in box in your experience? ah.. just read your post again.. I'm fermenting in a bucket and clearing in a pet carboy. Wine would only go into water bottle once cleared.

    wine storage ideas/suggestions,

never considered garage getting hot.. which of course it can do. I am fermenting in there at the moment and using aquarium heaters so the notion of it getting too hot hasn't come to me. The only place I can think that is dark and stays cool is my under stairs cupboard.. I may need to make some...

I am after a recipe for a full bodied smooth red, with not a lot of acidity.. does the one of the first page tick the boxes? I've probably got some wood chips lying around somewhere i could use if that's the done thing.. left over form a gift related to my other hobby, smoking/bbq

    wine storage ideas/suggestions,

I've got the 5l water bottles and ordered some 5l "bag in box" off the bay, work out less than £3 each and re-usable. Water bottle will be decanted into "bag in box" then "bag in box" placed in fridge so air contact with product will be minimal

ah ok. so I would need to put a bung and bubbler through the lid? or is it ok to just screw the lid on? if i has to be the former then maybe I need a rethink.

it's for the missus and she bangs a load of ice in the glass and tops it up with lemonade  - purely a cost saving exercise. also with regards to the bubbling.. isn't the gravity more accurate than waiting for all bubbles to go as bubbles could be just it in need of degassing?

if it involves me not spending money then it's assigned a very favorable weighting factor! on another note.. i put up a wow rose last week, started at 1.08 and it's at 1 now. It is however still producing c02.. a few small bubbles through the airlock every 10 seconds.. is it ok to stop it...
