    Session IPA

Brew Dog published all their recipes online so you can make a version of Dead Pony Club if that takes your fancy. I'll see if I can find it. https://brewdogrecipes.com/recipes/dead-pony-club

Any plummers? Help identifying a alkathene joint

I used to use them in an industrial setting underground so less issue if there's a leak. The fitting you have is just an older style of MDPE fitting. The inside has about 3 or 4 rings that clamp tight around the pipe stopping any leaks but I understand your reservations as it's indoors.

Any plummers? Help identifying a alkathene joint

Any plummers? Help identifying a alkathene joint

You want a 20mm MDPE to 15mm copper fitting by the look of it? I can't find one on Screwfix with an elbow but they do have straight ones. The black pipe should have an insert into it which makes it rigid at the joint. You can use 1/2" BSP as long as both

    Cyclists.

Used to cycle on the roads a lot but had to walk home from work last year as someone had been knocked off their bike on the SDR. Put me right off ever since I had to walk past the crime scene. Really don't understand people's problem with it. Riles me when I hear people saying "one less on the...

    CML Beòir Yeast Overattenuating

Just bottled a stout and that's the second brew with the same yeast. Pitched some slurry into the wort. And I've got 80% off it.

    Co2 gas cylinder

https://www.gas-on.co.uk/co2-10-ltr-(14lb) I'll just add that here for anyone who wants gas in Cardiff/Newport or it appears Gloucester. Just a disclaimer to say I haven't bought any myself but they've been helpful for other gasses in the past.

Another dreaded "has my fermentation finished?" thread.

Maybe the yeast is struggling with the extra fermentables? Wouldn't hurt to pop some more yeast in.

@StoutWolf I've found a Calor Gas supplier in Newport that also do pub gas and they'll deliver for £5. Worked out about £21 for a 6.5kg bottle with no rental charges. @Malty try any local gas bottle suppliers they may diversify too.

5 litre Batches of Beer. Why?

Sounds fine. Is the fermenter in a suitable place? You need on average 20C to get the fermentation started, also how long since pitching in he yeast? It won't hurt to pitch more so give that a go but unless you've got the right temp nothing will happen.

5 litre Batches of Beer. Why?

Definitely put more yeast in if you've only gone for 2g. I do about 10L batches and half a packet of yeast usually works fine.

Nothing wrong with liquoring it back at all mate. Although you have boiled off more wort than you expected I wouldn't worry, you'll have beer at the end of it. As for the boil as long as you can see it boiling like a rolling boil then you can start the timer and start adding your hops. It's...

Help finding MFL to 1/2" hose barb fitting

Why not use a gas in post with a 1/4" thread on it and then use a 1/4" to 1/2" reducer and fit that to a 1/2" hose barb?

    Breweries and their yeasts resource

Off topic but once had a meeting in the conference centre at Robinson's. Cracking setup. Unicorn is a lovely drop of beer.

People have been making beer for hundreds of years. Try not to over complicate it in your head, it will be fine.
