I suspect their lives have been disadvantaged by Brexit far less than yours, so how did that magnificent stratagem of yours work out?

Nobody? I can possibly hang on to these until Wednesday but then they have to go.

Very cute self-contained kit brewery (not mine)

Very clever, but it is that a dustbin he was brewing in? One hopes it was new before he used it for brewing!

    Splitting a Kit?

To answer the OP's original question, the Cooper's stout is always a safe option. And stout forms a good base for 'pimping' with various things (fermentable sugars, lactose, vanilla, cacao nibs, coffee...). LOADS of ideas on the huge thread this kit has.

    Splitting a Kit?

I suspect it's quite hard unless you stick a mucky finger in or sneeze on it. I used to put the can in very hot water to loosen it up (which would have helped sterilise the outside of the can), then used a spritz of StarSan on the can opener. I would also transfer the remaining extract to a...

    Splitting a Kit?

I bought a Coopers kit primarily to get the fermenter (for sale in the classifieds ;) ) and it came with an amber ale. There are recipes on the Coopers website to pimp their kits and I went for the "Bewitched Amber Ale" and it turned out to be one the best brews I ever did (in my brief second...

    Splitting a Kit?

Yes, the Bruin and Christmas beers I was quite happy with. The Gallia was disappointing.

Equipment For Sale Coopers fermenter, PET bottles, Fastrack. South London.

Hi all House move next week prompts a fast clearout of large but low value items. I'm putting these on a local forum, but thought I'd offer them here as well, since I got so much help and advice from this forum. I'm getting rid of; 1. Cooper's Fermenter (the smaller one - 15L I think) with the...

The first hellrider came, on wings of plenty in the dark Poured out his poison and he blew away his mark The fascist from the east is coming, mothers hide your sons The second hellrider came, from flaming seas and molten sands Pipers playing Hell's commands Poured out his poison, with his...

Not everyone in New York would pay to see Andrew Lloyd-Webber May his trousers fall down as he bows to the Queen and the crown I don't know what tune that the orchestra played But it went by me sickly and sentimental

    Elephant beer

Drank a few of these on an trip to Copenhagen and Aalborg many moons ago (1997 if memory serves). I recall it being a cut above the average lager (I was not, and largely remain not, a lager enthusiast) and appealingly strong for a daft teenager. Had no idea there was a stronger version!

    The difference between?????

I agree. But equally, there are a few that I’ve found are different; The 0.5% beer brewed for them by Adnams isn’t exactly the same as the low-ABV Ghost Ship - one is darker (IIRC the M&S one) suggesting a different malt bill. And the Cornish Saison Sharp’s brew for them is different (it’s also...
