    BIAB squeeze or not?

    I've seen many posts on here warning against squeezing the bag and releasing tannins. However just chanced on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdnmAX0tghc where they squeeze the life out of the bag. I'm confused.

    Looking at your link, I see it mentions heading liquid. 40 years ago when I were a lad, it was compulsory to add heading liquid to beer. Now I don't think I've seen a recipe itemising it, and it's not been discussed on this forum in the last year. What happened?

    What do you use for sterizling your eqipment and bottles?

    For years I have boiled a full kettle of water, poured it over the handle then held the handle and poured the boiling water over the front, the back and the sides of the spoon till all the water is used. Never had a batch infected yet.
