    Hey. I'm really enjoying it! The carbonation is spot on. It's got a kind of lager taste, but with a maltier, better body/ mouthfeel. It's fruity but not IPA fruity. Pimping it made a difference to what I reckon what would have been a bland lager. Yeah chilling it longer would make a difference...

    Had a Fullers ale (was OK) and now a pint of Bishops Finger. Not keen on the smell or taste.... Meh. Wish I had more of the Guinness West Indies Porter that I had last night 🤤 Need to get a recipe for that!

    Seven days later, all krausen gone and a FG of 1.008. That makes it 6.3%. Will put it in the garage to cool and then bottle in a couple of days.

    Thanks Steve. That's the summary I was looking for, as I was getting confused with the methods to raise Ca, then when to adjust ph. I haven't adjusted my water at all so far, so wonder at what improvement water treatment could do for me personally. I'll have to find out! Much appreciated! 👍

    Surprisingly pleasant. It's not like someone added a dram to a pint. The whisky is subtle on the aftertaste. Malty and moreish.

    Another pimped Mad Millie Lager. Perfect carbonation now it's out in the garage then fridge. Sweet and malty with the right bitterness. On to a McEwans Headspace later (whisky blended ale) for the first time. Hmm, we'll see how that turns out.

    Russian Imperial Stout - What yeast?

    Curious 🤔 I've used tried my kveik voss twice (imp stout and pale ale/ lager) and got no sourness. Fermenting a Porter with it presently too so will see. Difference between using dried against liquid?

    Hey there. No problemo. Recipe quoted, the rest in my brew day thread, including my honey porter I made on Friday. I had to use DME to boost cos I've only got a 15 litre pan.
