What are you listening to tonight.

Just listened to Myrkur - Maredidt. Nice and chilled. I'll have to balance it with some Earth Rot - Black Tides of Obscurity. Check out their Cape of Storms song on youtube. It's all swe-black/death, then hits into a riff and groove that's almost like summat from Extreme's Pornographitti!

I dissolved 75g of 95% Cocoa dark chocolate into a 12 litre batch. Had chocolate malt in too. Pow! Chocolate aroma and taste. Beautiful

Fitting a hose or barb fitting to an urn tap

Cheers man, but it's sparge water only that I'm interested in and I don't want the faff of weighing etc. I'm thinking that somehow the tap end, either internally or externally, could be threaded to fit a hose barb connection or such like, or even a larger bore hose with a circlip 🤔

Fitting a hose or barb fitting to an urn tap

Hi All. I have my eye on this for sparge water as I like that you can dial in the temperature and it's cheap. https://www.mylek.co.uk/mylek-digital-stainless-steel-catering-urn-20l I've seen the mods to burco boilers and the like, but because this has the integrated sight glass I'm wondering...

    AMyd666 Brewday

Brew No. 13 coming up: St Austell Tribute clone (Malt Miller recipe, but ingredients sourced from CML, as I'm not paying excessive delivery charges). Thought I was doing Proper Job, but got mixed up doh! Never had Tribute but the reviews on here sound favourable. It'll also be my first new brew...

What kit beer are you drinking tonight?

A bottle of my 3 weeks old Festival Old Suffolk Strong Ale. ******* it's good! Like Old Peculiar with more flavour. This should age well.

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

A pint of my own Porter. At 7 weeks old, it's lovely now. Nice and roasty with a pleasant bitterness.

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

And to drink after your dinner once your tum is settled. Treat it like a dessert for sure.

    cream stout

250g is better. I used 500g in a 20 litre Imperial Stout and it was far too sweet. Easy to mix it in once the coopers is stirred in and it's still hot before topping up with cold water.

    AMyd666 Brewday

I ended up with a FG of 1.012, therefore after priming I either get 6.2 or 5.5%. I'll cut an average at 5.9%! 1x5l keg and 34 x 500ml bottles. What a difference cold crashing in the garage overnight made (was cold too). I reckon I got another ~litre before I got to trub.
