    Sexism taken too far?

I like Jordan Peterson. But I would suggest you try to listen to what the man actually says. One of the main things he is often on about is that a lot of the American PC crowd is intellectually lazy. Instead of understanding ideas and making their own arguments they just blindly copy some...

    Bottling Temperature?

You're right. But because the beer was already cold it is saturated with the gas which was inside the fermenter (best case scenario CO2). So I would say cold is better actually. But haven't done any research to determine CO2 level in the beer vs oxidation :D. Nope, you really don't need much...

How many breweries lie about IPA'S?

The problem I often encouter is old IPA. Its hard to get a good fresh IPA. Like one that was bottled one or two months earlier. Foreign, especially American, IPA's taste often like crap because they are old and been subjected to rough conditions during transport.

How many breweries lie about IPA'S?

To be fair, Vedett IPA is an Belgian Style IPA. A bad one though These days we just love the American IPA.

    Sexism taken too far?

I wish the world be so simple chippy. If only it were some people enjoying dancing around. Such things are an issue because they extend beyond just having a good time! For instance, you get scholarships for being a cheerleader. Basically you're stimulating young woman to be a glorified pole...

    Sexism taken too far?

Who is offended exactly? What people? I assume you mean posts in this topic? Could you please quote multiple people which stated that they were offended here?

Why do you think that was his point?

    Sexism taken too far?

Line drawing? Lets say, we would now start a major campaign throughout the UK. The message will be this. Tea is for woman! Tea is only for woman! Men who drink tea are just wimps. Guys who are just one of the girls might drink it. But real men? No they don't drink tea. Btw, I don't think you...

Adding hops at turn off/flame out

Thank you! Less then I would want to be, never enough time to brew. My own observations are limited, don't do the flame out hop alone often. Personally I would say it is a less "fresh" flavour and aroma. A sort of warmer hop intensity (whatever that means). Brulosophy tested hop stand (leaving...

    Sexism taken too far?

The PC people? Didn't know this was America. If you prefer we can refer to the "other" side of this argument as the redneck side? Or since this is a British forum naming it the chav side is more appropriate? But all the kidding aside, I don't think most people here would be on either side. No...

Adding hops at turn off/flame out

    Also it tastes different!

Adding hops at turn off/flame out

You just immediately start chilling. Or what some people do is they chill to 80 degrees and then add the flame out hop and continue to chill. There is no reason to remove any of the hops at any stage.

Brewdog AB:05, unsure about the recipe!

Alright! So took a look at what ingredients I currently have and wish to make a small tryout batch (10L). In the same quantities as in the recipe: - Pale Ale Malt instead of Extra Pale - Flaked Oats - Biscuit malt instead of pale crystal malt - Chocolate malt instead of Carafa Special Type 1 -...

    Sexism taken too far?

I would say, yes in a sense. But not offend but rather objectify. Just because its made for woman doesn't mean that it isn't per se a bad influence ;).

Brewdog AB:05, unsure about the recipe!

Personally I love such recipes. Simplicity is often best haha.

    Sexism taken too far?

I don't really see a point in this. If woman are more into craft beer then that in itself should be motivation for a company to market also to woman. Having an old (50's) marketing plan is not the same as being sexist.

    Youngs American IPA

I'd say that such beer don't really become less bitter. Some other flavours might develop relatively quickly which can make the bitterness less noticable. The bitterness itself also fades. But this happens way after hop flavour and aroma has faded. Which is a bit of a catch for an IPA... In a...

Brewdog AB:05, unsure about the recipe!

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll just throw in the amounts they advice and check the gravity during the mash. If it is indeed too much I will just dilute. I also usually look to the recipes for inspiration. But thought it would be fun to try this one out. Don't think I'll be doing...

    Low Carbonation

Aside from what I already said: This is an easy one to try out atleast. Try to really clean your glass. Soap it up good, get any lipid residues out of it! Clean it with a clean cloth only used for glasses.
