Another vote for Beaverdale Rioja. I have made their Rioja, Shiraz and Chateau Neuf on successive weeks. While the other 2 are very drinkable, the Rioja is definitely the better of the 3. Holds its own with wines wines >£8. The other 2 are more in the £5/6 range. Mine didn't have a great oaky...

I tried something different Brewed this as an Italian style Frizzante, so watered back to 9% and bottled like a beer. Ready for drinking from next weekend.

I kegged Birra Italia this weekend and have Shipyard (Part grain) & Hobgoblin Gold (all grain) on order. Presentation, instruction & packaging of the kits is top notch. Can't wait to get brewing.......

Tried my Rutland Abbey last night after 1 week in the bottle ... I couldn't wait any longer .... unbelievably clean and fresh for this type of beer. Can't wait to try it after it's had another couple of weeks to mature. Very impressed with my first AG attempt.

Great advice guys - tasted awful at bottling but had the first conditioned bottle this evening - It's absolutely cracking. Lesson learnt.

How do you control the mash temp with a PID? Do you use the thermocouple on the Burco as an input to your PID controller?
