Why would you choose not to shop @ Kegthat [POLL]

I mainly buy all grain kits so Malt Miller & Dark Rock are my go to stores. This thread has made me look more at your website and my first observation is that it is very slow to load - certainly compared to others in this industry

I can help with this if needed. I work in Warrington during the week but live just south of Leicester so I'm happy to meet up / drop off if that helps.

    When to dry hop IPA

I'm after some advice please. I normally leave my FV for 2 weeks to ferment and clean up. However, if I want to add dry hops on days 3/4 of the fermentation then this would mean leaving the hops in for 10 days. Will this be ok or should I change my timings? or should I keg after 7/8 days? or...

    Completed AG Recipe Kits-GEB/MM

Just had the first bottle of the MM Allagash Belgian White and I'm really impressed. I have no idea what the original tastes like but this is like a subtler, lighter Hoegarden. It's the first beer I have made adding ingredients which aren't malt/yeast/hops etc. I bottled as opposed to kegging...

    What did you brew today?

Brewed MaltMillers Finch Cali Common today. All went to plan and this was the first time I have used water treatment and the first time I have had efficiencies above, rather than below, my targets.

    What did you brew today?

Currently got GEB Sessionable IPA boiling. It's my first AG kit from GEB and so far all looks good. I was confused by the 2 stage mash process - 30 mins @45'C then 45mins @71'C - not encountered this before.

    American Wheat Beer

I've brewed the MM Oberon clone which comes with WLP4040 liquid yeast. The taste is quite different to a Belgium wheat beer and maybe tastes more APA than I expected. Still a nice beer though.

    Harris Wine Kits

Having made most of the 6 bottle Beaverdale range and a few Solomon Grundy fruit wines I thought for my 1st 30 bottle kits I would try the Harris range. I was thinking that the lack of a "brand" may mean that there was more quality to the kits. First up was the Chardonnay (unoaked) which I...

    Completed AG Recipe Kits-GEB/MM

Got a few kits from MM - Two hearted clone which is still to brew, Peroni clone which is conditioning, but tastes promising, and Oberon US wheat beer which after 4 weeks in the keg is excellent. Not quite as wheaty as I expected but that may be down to my novice Brewzilla skills. The recipe...

    Shipyard Pale ale

It was a pretty good brew. Hops came through slightly more bitter than the original Shipyard but the overall taste is good and close to the original. The AG version is on my list for later on this year.

    Protafloc - for all brews?

Hi, I'm relatively new to AG brewing and need some advice about adding Protafloc. Can I / Should I add it to every brew? So far, I have added it to every brew, but I'm about to brew my first wheat beer (Malt Miller Oberon) and wondered if there are any styles that I definitely shouldn't add...

    Beaverdale wine kits

I've done quite a few Beaverdale 1 gallon kits (Need to try them before I decide to do a 5 gallon kit) and would rate them as below. Bear in mind that I varied other factors, such as bottled water, tap water etc Pinot Grigio - Very good Sauvignon Blanc - Good Chardonnay Semillon - made as a...

    Brewzila robobrew

Hi, Bought a used Brewzilla from this site. I'm 4 brews in and reckon I've got the hang of it. I'm thoroughly enjoying brew days with it having moved from BIAB- I feel I'm producing better brews in a very controlled manner with the Brewzilla. Build quality seems fine - I just wish I'd bought...
