Needed: Decent AG brew recipe within 3 weeks grain to glass!

No, I pour very carefully too so it's not the yeast thats dropped getting into the glass, it's a flavour which I find hard to describe (not unpleasant, but not present at bottling time) which for me takes around two weeks to shift. I've always put it down to 2nd fermentation. Maybe it's just...

Needed: Decent AG brew recipe within 3 weeks grain to glass!

Don't you find it too yeasty tasting after 2 days? I always try one of mine after a week in the bottle and almost always I've found it needs at least 10-14 days to be drinkable. Only exception to this I've found is my witbier using WB06

    Kits, or hops and grain?

I only did one kit before moving onto AG so can't really comment on the quality of kits. I will say though that AG brewing is much more fun and also more rewarding than brewing a kit despite it being much more time consuming.

    Forum Raffle

I suspect Paypal might give you a bit of hassle if you suddenly get a load of £2 payments from "friends & family". I used to be a member of a forum that ran a raffle every xmas and they insisted that it was paid as goods and that no mention of raffles was to be left in the comments section...

    FAO All Grainfather Users

The counterflow chiller works really well, much better than my immersion chiller, and I loved being able to set the mash temp and forget about it for an hour or so. It probably wont make you better beer, but it's a better and more efficient way to make beer :)

Quick, Easy, Summery Brew - HELP ME!

I'd do the Greg Hughes Witbier. Half and half pale ale malt and wheat, saaz at the start of the boil to 15 IBU, and some bitter orange peel and crushed corriander seeds for the last 15 mins. It's a great brew and is as good as it gets after 3 weeks. I've used Safbrew WB-06 with great success...
