I get a bit annoyed with how much coverage the Great British Bake Off got but didn't really feel the need to tell the world about it.

You could try ignoring things that have no impact on your life and adopting a live and let live approach. It also reflects pretty badly on the forum as a whole IMO.

Will be getting a new shed very soon, 10x8 or 12x10 so looking at 100l at least and probably electric as well, obviously the cheaper the better! How much did yours set you back if you don't mind me asking?

Yep, I've made stouts before without roasted barley and they've always been lacking that roasty toasty flavour which I love in my fave commercial stouts (never noticed a liqourice flavour though) This is my latest one and it's ace after just 10 days in the bottle stout Stout Recipe Specs...

Some cheapo muslin bags would sort out your hop problems, crash cooling before bottling would help as well :)

Do you have the Greg Hughes book? The Witbier in that can be (just) turned around in 2 weeks.

Brew Mate seems the easiest of the ones I've tried.

Maybe an over simplified solution, but if I was upping the grain by 60% then I'd do the same with the hops.

Joking aside I'd be well up for a freestyle monthly comp, I've always got something ready and it's always good to get a bit of feedback. I imagine it'll be more fun for the judge to have a bunch of different styles as well :)
