Yes I use them for lager bittering but prefer pellets as I whirlpool. Not had great joy with whole hops in socks etc. I have 70l kettle so plenty of area to whirlpool
Just finished brewing 54l of Sorachi Ace lager so why not have one I made earlier. Decided to add a little Saaz at the end this time so we'll see how it goes.
I would rather just scrap it then. I remember jumping around hugging strangers in the Swan at Newby Bridge when Aguero scored "that goal". Nowadays you don't know if you celebrate or wait.
Can't have too many ciders as I have to cook later. Swapped to my Maize lager. Tastes a bit like morretti. looking forward to the match tomorrow....its squeaky bum time.
just amazing that 25l of asda apple juice, 1kg of brewing sugar and a mangrove jack cider yeast. Kegged and carbonated with mixed acid gives a truly great cider.
The white hart (Bouth) used to do it occasionally but it's now a generic fizzy lager pub...I believe the Engine inn in Cark (near Cartmel) has it on. According to TT website it's at

The Japanese rice beer with Sorachi Ace is my wife's new favourite. Very dry and neutral citrus, not lemony but just enough. Sat enjoying this in the potting shed (Cigar bar)!
